What is Roblox coding for kids?

Roblox coding means building games in Roblox Studio and programming them with Lua, the scripting language Roblox uses. Kids who already love playing Roblox get to make the games instead.

In Codinzy's live Roblox classes, your child designs 3D worlds and obbies, scripts game logic in Lua (events, loops, functions), adds scores, leaderboards, timers and power-ups, then publishes a game friends can play.

Why parents choose this course

  • Learn real coding ideas through the game kids love.
  • Finish with a published game friends can play.
  • A fun bridge from block coding to text-based code.

Roblox Coding classes: questions parents ask

What age is the Roblox Coding course for?

It's designed for ages 8+ (grades 3-10). In the free trial class the tutor checks your child's level and confirms it's the right fit before you decide anything.

Is Roblox coding real programming?

Yes. Lua is a real scripting language, and the course teaches the same ideas as any language: variables, events, loops and functions.

Does my child need any prior experience?

Some familiarity with coding basics helps, but it isn't required: the free class doubles as a level check, and the tutor sets the starting point for your child.

How do the live Roblox Coding classes work?

Every class is taught live by a real tutor, never pre-recorded, and your child keeps the same tutor every lesson. Choose private 1-on-1 classes (45 minutes, 2–3 a week) or a small group of 2–4 students (60 minutes, 2 a week), scheduled in your time zone. The full course is 24 lessons over about 3 months.

How much do Roblox Coding classes cost?

Plus from $7.80 a class (groups of 3–4), Premier from $9.60 (groups of 2–3) and Prime from $15 (private 1-on-1), in US dollars. Prices vary by country, group size and plan. You pay only for the classes your child takes, and the first class is a free trial.

Is there a certificate?

Yes. On completion your child earns the Roblox Game Coding certificate, STEM.org accredited, as a downloadable PDF and a shareable digital badge.

What does my child need for the classes?

A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, a microphone and a stable internet connection, and an up-to-date Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. The tutor helps set everything up in the first class.

What if we want to stop midway?

You only pay for the classes your child takes: a full refund if no live class has been completed, and a pro-rata refund at any point after that, to your original payment method.
